Indiana Heritage Arts
44th Annual Exhibition & Sale
June 11 – July 9, 2022
BROWN COUNTY ART GALLERY · NASHVILLE, INDIANA
From the Show Chair
Welcome artists and patrons to the 44th Annual Indiana Heritage Arts Exhibition and Sale. We on this all-volunteer board take the responsibility of continuing the great tradition of Indiana art seriously, and to that end we are always looking to update and strengthen our annual exhibition. We have implemented some changes to this year’s show, and hope those improvements will lead to increased exposure and sales for our talented Indiana artists.
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the T. C. Steele State Historic Site featuring a select group of IHA artists who will take part in “Painting Selma’s Garden.” IHA is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the early Brown County artists by inviting our supporters to a special day at the House of the Singing Winds.
I wish to thank our board of directors for their efforts and time, especially Lyn Letsinger-Miller for her tireless energy and new ideas. I also wish to thank Brown County Art Gallery employees Jeanne Bennett and Bern Waldhier for their help, as well as Tess Kean for her invaluable contributions toward the show catalog and IHA website.
Thanks also to this year’s judge, Kathryn Stats, who came all the way from Utah to help us with the show. Kathryn was assisted by fellow artist Marcy Bailey. It’s a difficult task to complete, and Kathryn performed well. Thank you to those who purchase our artist’s work, thus insuring the continuation of Indiana’s rich art traditions. Thanks lastly to the artists who enter their work, they add beauty and soul to our daily lives.
Best,
Jim Ross
