Happy New Year to our Indiana Heritage Arts artists, supporters, donors and lovers of heritage style Indiana Art.
The 2026 Indiana Heritage Arts Exhibition opens on Saturday, June 6 and runs through July 11 th with the final pick-up day on July 12th. We have moved our opening reception and awards presentation to Saturday, hoping it will make it easier to attend, especially for those who have conflicting work schedules or are coming from long distance.
This year, “Painting Selma’s Garden” will take place on Saturday, June 13 th . Artists are invited to paint on the grounds of the T.C. Steele State Historic Site and sell their work. A reception is in the planning stages that will memorialize the Centennial of Steele’s passing and the founding of the historic Brown County Art Gallery.
We will be sending out Call for Entry information soon. There will once again be early drop-off days at the Brown County Art Gallery and a second drop-off location at James R. Ross Fine Art in Indianapolis.
To attract the best artists to our Exhibition, the IHA Board of Directors has expanded the eligibility requirements.
To enter the Indiana Heritage Arts Annual Exhibition, entrants must have a connection to the Hoosier State. Entrants must meet any of the following qualifications. To have been born in Indiana, studied, lived or worked in Indiana or be an active member in good standing with an established Indiana Arts Organization.
